Sneak Peek Lumiere: London’s First Light Festival Starts on Thursday

Lumiere London, the capital’s first light festival starts this coming Thursday and we thought you would give you a sneak peek of what to expect.

Taking place from the 14 – 17th January, the festival is spread across four famed areas of the capital with a host of international artists who will illuminate the city with jaw-dropping art. See iconic architecture transformed with 3D projections, interactive installations and other extraordinary light works.

The festival is free to attend and we hope you are excited about it as we are!

Lumiere London promises to be one of the biggest cultural events of 2016. With a host of international artists ready to spread light throughout the capital, Artichoke are working with Team London to recruit volunteers for the event. If you’d like to go behind the scenes at the biggest light festival to hit London and find out how it’s run, then sign up to be a part of it.

There will be a number of roles available, including:

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Providing information about the festival and artworks
  • Handing out festival guides
  • Giving advice on how to get from one festival hub to another
  • Suggesting places to eat and drink

To be eligible you must be aged over 18 years old and able to volunteer a minimum of two shifts during the event, which runs from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 January 2016. There will also be a briefing before the festival.
